The Snow Queen
When the real world turns sour, ten-year old Talia finds shelter in a fantasy world of ice and snow. But as life becomes more and more difficult, Talia's daydreams become less protective and more menacing.
The Snow Queen won the 2004 NSI Zed Drama Prize (read the NSI press release). It premiered at FilmExchange in March 2005 (see news), and it was broadcast on Zed in 2006.
Festival screenings include: Rome International Film Festival (Italy), Puchon International Film Festival (South Korea), Canada Council Showcase at Clermont-Ferrand (France), San Francisco Women's Film Festival, Reel Women International Film Festival (California), The Walter Phillips Gallery (Banff Centre), Southern Alberta Art Gallery (Lethbridge), Sugar & Splice Women's Film Festival (Winnipeg) and Festival de Paradanta (Spain).
WINNER: Top 20 Award, Short Film Festival of India.
